Prague 10. May 2009
One of the most beautiful cities also comes up with one of the most interesting marathon-courses. The fact that there are not many spectators or bands along the track can be easily forgotten due to the great architectural views and the many beautiful kilometers along the river “Moldau”.
It was a hot day to run, but the organizers provided many refreshment areas with water, sponges and showers. Nutrition was good (even with bananas and oranges) so the runners just had to care about finding their right individual pace.
The Prague-marathon is probably not the fastet track - there are several uphill-parts and the surface of the road is partly made of paving stones - but for those who do not care about a personal best I would highly recommend this race.
